FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
Answers to the most common questions about Scrum Master services, Agile Coaching and agile transformation.
That's the norm, not the exception. We start with an honest assessment of where you stand, introduce Scrum step by step and closely support the first sprints, rather than imposing a framework "from above". What matters more than perfect ceremonies from day one is that the team understands why it does things — mindset before process.
In the long run, an internal Scrum Master is almost always the right goal — which is why knowledge transfer is a core part of our work. In the short term, however, an external, Scrum.org-certified Scrum Master or Agile Coach often helps faster, because they can moderate conflicts without being entangled in the team hierarchy and spot typical beginner mistakes from the outside. Many of our engagements deliberately end with a planned handover to an internal team member.
We facilitate retrospectives with varying formats instead of always the same round, so routine blindness doesn't set in, and we document actions with clear owners instead of vague intentions. The decisive factor is follow-up: at the start of the next retro we actively check what became of the last actions. Without this follow-through, any retrospective stays without consequence, no matter how good the format is.
The Scrum Master ensures a functioning Scrum process at team level — sprint planning, daily standups, impediment removal. Agile Coaching goes further and works on mindset and culture, often also with leadership and across several teams, for example during a larger agile transformation. We offer both and switch between the roles depending on the organisation's maturity level.
Yes, we explicitly advise on scaling frameworks such as SAFe and LeSS and support pilot projects and gradual scaling across multiple teams. Scaled agility rarely fails because of the framework itself, but because of details such as dependency management between teams or prioritisation conflicts at programme level — that is exactly where we focus.
